The storm water detention tank receives water from roof and driveway run-off and release it slowly into the storm water system. This is achieved by installing a tank of a suitable size with restricted outlet(s). Tank volumes and outlet sizes are designed by your engineer.
Once full the water flows out of a 100mm overflow outlet. These tanks empty completely. Tanks may be above ground or buried depending on council requirements -if the tank receives water from driveway areas then the tanks need to be buried.
Storm water control is a council requirement for most properties. Fibreglass Tanks & Manufacturing provides tanks to meet council requirements for both storm water detention and storm water retention.
